It's easy for most folks to disable the camera but some who aren't great with tech don't know how to do this. I can see this being a nice feature but we often present from a coffee shop or even our cars, and some of our potential customers aren't in a place where they'd like to show their face. Another function they've added with the facelift is the ability to show your face via the webcam. We've been using the free version - the paid version might eliminate this problem, although I'm not sure. This is okay for folks who are good with tech, but many potential customers have trouble with the download. While the screen share function as the presenter is easy, if I ask potential customers to share screen, they are required to go through a few steps.I might be missing where to find the instructions, but lately we've been having some trouble with this. They've recently undergone a facelift which is nice, but I've found it more difficult for potential customers to connect to their computer audio.Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS).C/C++ Integrated Development Environments.Found this in a different waste pile.ġ/2" webbing and snap buckles - For attaching the electronics to my arm.ġ LED, 1 sliding switch, male header pins, female header pins, 330 ohm and 10K ohm resistor - Additional electronics for the arm system.įR-1 Copper PCB Board - For milling out the circuit board shield.ĥV battery pack with USB - For powering the Arduino. Note: If you have a Dolby conference phone to set up, plug it in now. Highfive You're all done and your Highfive camera is ready to use. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setting up your Highfive camera. As a best practice, this is generally the same name as the conference room. It's also small and light.Īrduino Yun - For communicating with the GoPro.Īccelerometer - I used an ADX元35 for sensing the motion of my hand.ġ.5" diameter aluminum rod - I found a short piece in the waste pile.Ĩ-2 X 1" pan head machine screw (4 total)ġ/8" plywood scrap - For laser cutting. The quickest and most universal gesture for telling someone, "you are awesome". Another ridiculous contraption that will hopefully extend an appreciation of the mighty high five. Do you remember any handshakes like that? I'm going to doubt it.Īnd so, I bring you the high five camera. Our hands made contact underneath a bridge and the sound reverberation created the greatest sounding high five I have ever heard. Some guy biking the other way stuck his hand out and I reciprocated. Using an Arduino Yun, which is a WiFi enabled Arduino board, I can control the GoPro. The GoPro has remote capabilities over WiFi so you can control it with your phone or a WiFi remote. It points towards the person I am high fiving. My most memorable one happened years ago at 2AM on a bike trail in Minneapolis. I modified a helmet to mount a GoPro behind me. Some of my best high fives were with strangers. You can give a random high five to a stranger and, more than likely, it will make them feel better. Why not a fist bump, shoulder tap, giving skin, the hungry chicken, or my personal favorite, the high five. Even the handshake has so many different variations, yet we choose the same boring one every time. Why must we limit ourselves to this one boring interaction? Of all the split second human gestures we could do, it's the lamest. It's a gesture with no soul and reeks of a corporate entity. Can I tell you a secret? I don't like handshakes.
